Agreed, bulkhead, window and last aisle are tough switches for me but the only deal breaker bar none is the assuming squat in my seat. I've also suggested that bulkhead traders switch forward themselves before asking me to move up there and I've settled in with some grateful new seatmates who were able to move back to my row instead.

*On a side note... you never know what the switch offer will be. On a flight (SFO-JFK) last year I was in no mood to be approached and kept "on" a cell call long after it really ended to avoid an anticipated request. Well, she tapped my shoulder anyway and as I was annoyed at having been snagged, they proceeded to ask me to switch to F! Yes, I did feel like a heel so, while nibbling on the chocolates up there (after my sundae) I vowed to be more open to the searching glances pre-departure.
