I get asked from time to time, and will usually only say no if
1) asked to swap into a bulkhead
2) asked to swap into the last row (738/MD80) or two (757 and up) on an even flight with a meal
3) asked to swap into a window with NGBC seats
4) the person has squatted in my seat before I boarded (the old assume thing again)
