A little OT Spiff, but I actually know people who NEVER carry on and claim it is more convenient to check everything. Even through IAD I have friends who wait 45 minutes to an hour for their luggage which could have been carried on. I don't get it. You have to show up at the airport earlier, wait in another line and then collect that luggage at the far side.

Eliminate friction at all possible points. That is the key to frequent traveling.
