Well, the airline has it's own policies for that stuff. The airlines often accept as a valid form of photo ID things that we won't - college IDs, for instance. It goes with whatever their own policies state for them.

Some of the airlines in HSV accept expired licenses with no problem. Others make the passenger a selectee. It's just whatever their own policies dictate.
