Also, I didn't realise the staff expected a tip and was quite embarrassed as the masseur looked at me expectantly at the end of the treatment, and once he realised that a tip wouldn't be forthcoming, he got a bit shirty. (I would have handed over something once I realised it was expected but at this stage I had spent all my US dollars and had nothing to offer) I felt quite uncomfortable and left quickly. I hate people thinking I am tight!!

Totally different experience at LHR -enjoyed the facial immensely, and determined not to make the same mistake twice, after my JFK treatment, offered a tip the elemis staff member who said it wasn't necessary.
