LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - At least one fighter jet escorted a US Airways flight to Baltimore-Washington International Airport on Tuesday after a "miscommunication," officials said.
NORAD Maj. Ed Thomas said a jet was scrambled and escorted the flight, which had left Charlotte, N.C., at 8:07 a.m. for BWI.

The jet was probably scrambled after the Silver, Gold, and Chairmans on board demanded to be given parachutes and be let off the plane immediately after hearing the news release on 2003 benefits.
