If you are comfortable with the opaque bidding sites, both Priceline and Hotwire both often feature the Ren as their 4-star selection in Boca. I checked all four Saturdays in March on Hotwire, and most all feature a four-star at rates between $79 to $94 (plus tax and fee).

The Ren, whuch is siuated only a couple of blocks from the full-service Marriott, is as monitor stated a nice low-rise property that offers easy free parking and also no-charge wireless HSIA (the Marriott charges for HSIA, AFAIK). The FAU campus is a short drive away from the hotel, essentially east on Glades road on the other side of I-95

The Ren's restaurant is OK for breakfast, not spectacular but not bad either. There are multiple restaurant options nearby (I like Brewzzi, a microbrewery with good pub food), as well as upscale regional-mall shopping at the Boca Town Center mall, also a couple of blocks away.
