How did they envision the sterile transit to work? Would you come off the Latin America plane and instead of going through the immigration area you'd be shipped off to a transiting area?
I never (lucky me LOL) experienced this but a friend of mine who went through the US that way told me that he had a cop (immigration etc) with him at all times in a waiting room......who then escourted him to the gate and was with him until he was in the plane
