sprint cards are EVDO, I don't think any even have wifi but their connection manager wants to manage wifi, personally I disabled that function I like using the OS wireless manager a lot better!
Sorry, did not meant confuse the issue. I use an AT&T card which is GPRS/GSM. Sprint is in fact EVDO. My card, with the software utility, is dual mode that allows one to select the carrier's (AT&T/SPRINT/Verizon) or WiFi/802.11 mode (wireless LAN) The point is, that if TEXD is using a SPRINT card, then the IP address would be coming from SPRINT (unles it has a WiFi mode), and not the Pres Club's Wirerless network. Bottom line is that is apprears that TEXD's PC does not look like it is getting to ANY outside network if it is displaying an APIPA address. My guess would be that it is not recognizing his wireless adapter, be it SPRINT or WiFi.
