Although I note you've eliminated NZ, I can surely advise that SYD would make a great stop on your honeymoon. I'm admittedly a "city person" but there is just sooooo very much to do and see in a relatively easy to transit city that I'm sure you'd enjoy.

Food, Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Harbour cruises, Beaches, Parks, some shopping, strolling, Circular Quay, SYD fish market, the whole nine yards!!

I took a guided tour on my first day in SYD which, while a bit expensive , turned out to have been a GREAT way to get acclimated to the geography. Maybe give that a try!
