I have a residence visa and am planning to cancel.. but do not want to lose my Egate.. i spoke to an Egate guy today who said that once my residence visa is canceled my Egate will no longer work. I have to exit the country the proper way and can get the Egate via tourist on my way in.

Is there an egate counter on arrivals at t3 where i can update my egate card?
