Well heck, cornbread crumbled into a glass of buttermilk is nothin' but a "ploughboy's lunch" back in West TN. Quick, filling and refreshing, especially on a summer's midday in the fields. Even in BOS, I will do this at home at any time of year to remember my family heritage. Somehow it evokes a feeling deeper than conscious memory.
If that cornbread has cracklins in it, all the better
