my last MR was to Paris in mid Dec to achieve EXP on AA.

CDG folks really didn't care, told them I was there Xmas shopping

at ORD there was more interest, so told them (a) I wanted to do Xmas shopping and (b) wanted to achieve top status on AA. a slight shake of the head accompanied the stamping of the passport

I advocate telling the truth, but a little spin doesn't hurt.
