Agree with everyone else. Telling the truth is always the right way to go if you're on a MR. (If you actually ARE smuggling contraband, then that's a different story...)

Making up a story is just more likely to get you into hot water later if they start to ask you about who you're meeting, where you're staying, why you're just "stopping by to buy some duty free liquor," etc.
