Future of MA?

Today the online version of TravelInside reports that Mr. Boris Abramowitsch has sold MA to Wneschconombank (VEB), a Russian bank. It further reports that VEB is making this deal conditional to the feasibilty of the restructuring plan for MA. This plan shall include a strategic partnership with SU. All this information from the brief online article (http://www.travelinside.ch/travelins..._objectID=9199 ;all in German)

This raises a series of issues:
- Is MA technically broke? How safe is it to buy tickets on MA stock?
- Will MA eventually leave OW when entering partnership with SU - or perhaps the other way around (SU to join OW)?
