Meh, I'm more puzzled by people wearing Wallabies jerseys, when they haven't touched a football since they were 9 years old.
My work bag - which is also my carryon - goes pretty much everywhere, and it currently has a QF Platinum tag, an Aeropelican "hand luggage" tag (one of the elite level ones - it's laminated and on elastic), a Flyertalk tag and a couple of half-dead hotel baggage check tags.
I've benefited many times from my highly visible status when in long queues, etc.
As for the DYKWIA factor, everyone of consequence already knows who I am.
