This may ruffle a few feathers…

Out of curiosity, who uses those “status luggage tags” that QF hand out?

I admit when I first got platinum I had it proudly on display on my carry-on for a few months. I was young, and you know, a bit of a DYKWIA. But now I am older I see them as a pretty insecure case of “LOOK AT ME!!”. And typically the people I see using them, seem to be the pretentious DYKWIA type.

On the plane, fair enough, perhaps. But what really makes me laugh is all the people on the bus etc using them, on their work backpacks.
