Even if you never set foot in a Starwood property, the 1:1.25 airline point transfers are a strong value proposition. And if you need to get out of town and want to save the MR or Honors Points for something else, SPG has very generous point redemption options at your disposal.
As for the annual rate, it's around 15% (9.99% + variable), so it's pretty much mid-pack.
