I was just told when I picked up my car last week that the Hertz counter at YVR will be closing at midnight now. A lot of flights (including mine) get in after midnight. I can see them all listed on the arrival screen when I stand in the queue for customs.

The guy said I need to take a taxi to the hotel from now on and then return back to the airport in the morning. Fat chance since a) the hotel is 20+ km away, and b) Hertz won't reimburse me for the roundtrip taxi ride. The online reservation system still lets me reserve a car at, say, 12:30 in the morning, but according to the guy, no one will be there to hand me my keys. How can I find someone official at YVR to contact? I hope they reconsider this change.
