MrZhu is surprised there are so few Starwood properties in resort type locations in Cali:

Carmel/Monetary: no
Napa: 1
Tahoe: no
Yosemite: no
Santa Babara: 0.5 (there is one kind of close...)
Northern cali shore: no.
