I think that there aren't any pens in First or Club because everyone knows that if you (or your employer) can afford to buy a First or Club ticket, you/they can jolly well afford to buy a 17p Bic biro with which to send you on your way.

In WT+, we can't afford to buy pens. I jealously guard the Bic biro that lives permanently in my carry-on rucksack.
