I wouldn't count on that. I do an annual trip to France in July and monitor pricing & loads on a regular basis. Right now, loads from the US to AMS, CDG & LHR, for trips in July, are showing (on seatmaps, which can be taken with a grain of salt, but we are comparing seatmaps to seatmaps) wide-open planes. Definitely not the case for those flights at this time previous years. Another indication is the number of hotel offerings I'm getting for stays in France... again, in July. Deals the likes of which I've never seen, not in the past 8 years anyway. Even some 4* hotels in Paris under $140/night. Mostly 3* around $90-$100.

Things are not looking good for tourism this summer. Nevertheless, I have a feeling I'll still be sharing the roads with a couple hundred thousand other fans of cycling in France this July! ^
