I know they will use my account for the stickers and the upgrade window determination but, if only one seat is available who gets it or will they only upgrade both or none. If you are on one PNR with no notes or notification to AA, then there has to be two seats available for both of you to upgrade. You can do a search on this and find more specific infomation. I asked about this myself last year so I know there are a couple of threads. You can let AA know you are willing to have one person sit in F and one in coach or split the PNRs. I elected to stay same PNR and thus meant I needed two seats available. Good luck.
