One of my favourite countries. My partner and I are totally into horse riding. We own horses in France where we live and any opportunity to check out horse riding traditions and styles in other countries always gets us excited... so Argentina is top of the list. There's much more to it than that though... the meat is fabulous and plentiful as is the wine. The biodiversity and natural beauty is also something to behold. The wide-open landscapes from north to south and the wildness of Patagonia always draws me in. I've been four times in the last three years (previous visits for work) and I've noticed the country become a lot more expensive. Still nothing like Western Europe however. A new tip is some of the beaches of Uraguay between Montevideo and the Brasilian border. Fabulously chilled out and retro... and only a few hours overland from Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires is easily also worth two or three days if you're into cities.
