I flew on a TW L-1011 from JFK-LHR and CDG-JFK in the late 80's, and between STL and NYC several times in the early 80's. All in F or J. I recall them being very quiet up front.

I also flew a TW flight from JFK to somewhere in Europe in the late 80's but the actual bird was a Gulf Air L-1011. It wasn't a codeshare. Don't know whether TW had just borrowed it for the day or had just taken over a lease and hadn't yet redone the plane.
