Late to the party also.

I have a friend who does cat shows. She's always looking for cat friendly hotels and when there is a show in town the show page for the exhibitors always lists some hotels that are cat friendly.

Google <<name of town>> <<type of animal>> show hotels

and you will usually find a few pages of hotels that shows use, and you can call and see if that was something they worked out just for the dog show or is that a year round thing. The other good thing is many show people are trying not to spend a thousand dollars a night on a bed for fido, so they find hotels in all price ranges.
