XF search for non-stop flights only?
OK, can anyone tell me how to force .bomb to only show non-stop award flights?
I'm searching for a round trip, saver award, first class seat from Kona(KOA) - LAX anytime in February or March. In order to force .bomb to show at least the availability, if any, for the return flight I did the following.
1) I checked for a "standard" award for flights today, 1/24, KOA to LAX so that I could see all of the inventory using expert mode. Sure enough the evening flight today is XF9.
2) I then changed my search to be for a saver award first class flight, XF.
3) I set my outbound date as today with a return date in March.
4) I selected "Non-Stop" in the pull down menu for number of stops and then clicked the search button.
I had picked a Thursday which did not have any XF availability. So .bomb displayed the calendar for March showing every day except all of the Thursdays in March shaded blue. The blue shading indicates availability.
OK, so I changed my return date to a supposedly available date in March and clicked continue.
I then got a display which showed the non-stop 1/24 flight as the outbound schedule but connecting flights through SFO as the return. When I check the availability of XF inventory on the return flights the LAX to SFO flight is XF9 but the SFO to KOA flight is XF0.
I checked a lot of other return dates. All were the displayed the same way as described above. None of the dates resulted in a display of non-stop LAX to KOA XF availability.
I understand that XF mainland to Hawaii is extremely scarce. I thought that the above process would allow me to do a quick check for XF availability KOA - LAX covering a broad time period rather than the laborious day-by-day process. But apparently the "Non-Stop" pull down choice does not exclude connections as one would expect. Nor does .bomb exclude an itinerary for which only some of the segments have XF availability even when searching specifically for an XF award.
Does anyone know a way to force .bomb to display award availability, if any, for non-stop flights only?
Thanks
