The plugs definitely have their limits. With laptops becoming more powerful, they require a lot more power from the adapter. I have a 120w adapter that I don't bother bringing anymore. My laptops require at least 90w and if I use a 90w adapter, I can't have a dead battery charging. It just cuts out. Only problem is, if I take the battery out and the power decides to cut out, I get a hard shut-down.

I don't think the power system was made to supply two high power adapters at once. More like a laptop and a phone or iPod. One possible solution would be to put the laptop in a low performance mode. Some systems also allow one to switch between the high powered, dedicated graphics card to an integrated card.

I wish CO would be more specific about the specs on those outlets.
