And it was easy to take advantage of the thing I like best about the Four Seasons--the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is among the top five in the entire city now. The hotel money we saved paid for all our three star meals during the trip.
I think it depends on the OP's experiences and desires. I have stayed at both properties. The Prince de Galles in its former glory years was always a step or two behind the George V. Now there is probably an ocean between the two as opposed to a stream. But that is not only true in terms of rooms and the like - but prices also (I think the George V will cost at least 2 1/2-3 times the rate you quoted for the PDG). If the OP has some kind of Starwood status - perhaps he can be treated very well there (and even if he doesn't have Starwood status - perhaps the place treats people on their honeymoons well as a matter of course).
