Delta tends to be more consistent across the board, but that could be consistently bad with some things and consistently good with others.
As mentioned, I've found their F service spotty, their 757 satellite entertainment doesn't work more often than it works, and their upgrade process has seen some recent signs of shenanigans that would light this forum up like a roman candle at a gas station.
They are now charging Platinums 150 to change award reservations, and the latest rumor that sent the poor Delta forum into its latest tizzy included suggestions that they would shrink their F cabins by 25% and cut free upgrades for LUT fares - that rumor was officially denied by someone at NW management, but not by anyone at DL management.
In a nutshell, the Ghost of Mullins Past has come back to haunt Delta, so I'd probably watch them carefully before thinking the pasture is greener there, even if things go sour when we hook up with *A.
One thing to always keep in mind if things sour here, and DL looks worse - if you can pull off 100K EQM per year, AA will still offer you a hearty stack of SWUs and unlimited free domestic upgrades.
