As an aside, it is unbelievable how much non-U employees on this board know about the ins and outs of this company. When U gets on it's feet, it may want to recruit from this board! Anyway, here's my question. If the G class inventory is totally tapped out at check-in, has anyone ever had any luck groveling at check-in to redeem 20,000 miles for the upgrade? My flights for an upcoming trip are already empty in G (3 weeks from now)and wanted to know my chances of perhaps using miles.
