The center seats are fine, I agree. The only downside to the pair center seats is that if you are travelling with a companion, the FA's have to re-divide the serving assignments. That is to say seat C in envoy is assigned to the FA serving that side of the cabin, seat F is assigned to another FA serving the other side. When they find out that passengers in C & F are together as companions, they have to re-assign the serving duties.

It can cause a bit of service 'irregularity' but hopefully nothing too big.
