W'burg's dining scene is... very chain-driven, and Williamsburg probably has the most pancake restaurants per capita of any city in America, but very few Asian restaurants and no Viet places. My SO goes to school at William and Mary and hates dining around the area, except Red Hot and Blue is always good, but alas, barbeque is not Viet food. I wouldn't expect much in the Newport News area either.
