Also can someone please confirm that in the Galleries Lounges in T5 you can ask one of the staff to get you a glass of bubbly ? (Just so I dont feel cheky if I ask).

I'll be on the same flight as you. I use the 177 about once a month and the CW service is; (1) drink and nuts/snack round; (2) Lunch (starter, main, pud or cheese); (3) the pre landing sandwhich/salad (which I normally sleep through). Don't forget the club kitchen in between.

The seat plan at check-in for J looked the emptiest I've ever seen it for a Friday - lots of spare UD seats, and the C cabin maindeck is empty. However, that might mean there's a lot of cabin roll forward from Y into W, and then W in J (J into F is rare on JFK runs). I've been on some recent flights where W has been overbooked by more than 40 (for a 38 seat cabin). Heavy rolling forward to J can happen at the moment.

Enjoy your flight - at T4 the 177 used to be incapable of leaving until it was at leats an hour to 90 minutes late, but that now seems (touch wood) better at T5.
