Despite the views of some others, I think this is both very sensible and highly considerate.

There will be many people who just missed out as trips were postponed due to the western world as we know it coming to an end and in the same way that companies change they way they work in order to survive during these times it is only right that airlines should recognise this and make allowanced for their long term loyal customers.

The phrase 'we're all in this together' comes to mind.
