Frying pan -> fire?

British Gas is the only company which I have had to threaten with an injunction - to stop them getting a warrant to disconnect my supply for non-payment of bills. That was only, oh, about 2½ years after I'd ceased to be a customer of theirs, with constant correspondence during that period pointing out that fact.

I've never been a fan of these monthly direct debit thingys, since experiencing the problems that people are describing here when I first had to pay my own energy bills when fresh out of university. Paying quarterly, once the proper amount of the bill has been established, always seemed to me to be a better idea.

I've not had any problems with E-on, and I'm happy with the reasonable stream of indirect BA Miles that comes as a bonus.

Plus, as a second bonus, they'll take my Tesco Finest Mastercard to pay the quarterly bills. So more BA Miles that way.
