oooh, hadn't noticed the dry bit. Suddenly, paying £500 more for MH when I can send the miles to KLM, doesn't seem such a bad idea after all.

Thanks all for your comments. I'd spotted LHR-AKL for £1800ish as this is a new route for Royal Brunei (the actual route is LHR-DBX-BNE-AKL - maximising shopping opportunities ).
