It was dodgy a few years ago,since they built the Radisson however the area has improved greatly. It's been a couple of years since I was last in that area but I believe more hotels are being built as I type.
Gone are the days, when if you saw a tourist in Glasgow it meant he had got on the wrong train in London. It is now in the top five tourist cities in the World.
