In fact the lowest base fare once TZ starts MDW-CLT is $20
lower ($138 versus $158) than what US is offering in this "sale".
It seems I'm the only person who cares about this, but Charlotte has gone from one of the most expensive cities in the South to fly to from Chicago, to one of the cheapest. At this moment it's THE cheapest (lower than RDU or anyehere in Florida).
