And in fairness, Queen St is grotty, but opens out onto George Sq, which even this Edinburgher has to admit is pretty impressive.

Central is not quite so nice, but there are still some lovely buildings in the vicinity. For various reasons, I've been spending more time in GLA recently and there is some impressive architecture.

Edinburgh is still better though
