How long does it take for Citi/AA cards' 25k bonus miles to post after reaching the $750 spending threshold? The terms and conditions say it takes 8-10 weeks, does anyone have any personal experience though?

Also, if the miles have posted to you AA account and then you cancel the card, is there a chance the miles may be removed from your account? I have heard from some that once the miles are in your AA account, they cannot be removed. Others have said that if you cancel your card within some time frame (60 days, 6 months, have heard conflicting reports) after the miles post, they will remove the miles from your account. Anyone with personal experience with this as well?
