The last time on the 77W, there was apparently quite a to-do about the reading lights, with the purser directly checking out quite a few of them, a few cabin-wide off/ons and general strange behaviour. It wasn't terribly irritating, but I didn't need to use it either.

Possibly due to the design of the pods, the way they wired them somehow requires integration to the Thales system?
