I've been arriving from MUC with a connection to MEL. Checked in directly after coming over from TBIT so about three hours before the flight and got a seat assignment on the upper deck. I try to board about 30 minutes before departure through and almost empry priority line and get the red light on the BP reader. The GA tells me to step aside and wait for the to sort it out, but only when everyone including upgraders had borded already they finally manage to tell me they accidentally offloaded me earlier and now have to find another flight for me. There would have been a QF flight later they could have put me on if they processed it fast enough but there was a lot of mess at the gate. Then finally a very competent supervisor arrived, took away the terminal of one of the GA and tries to find every routing for me, but can't give me anything better but the next night. While he's trying to do that for me another GA tries to get me onto the Y seat of a pax missing the flight ignoring the supervisor telling he that I have a paid C fare which only gets finally sorted when the late pax finally arrives.
Only getting a flight out next night now which means I have to rebook my onwards connection myself as it was on a separate PNR (but with a 8 hours layover so I thought I was safe). At least I got booked into F today, but I'd really prefered to have a night of sleep in a real bed before arriving at my conference instead of arriving at the afternoon of the first day.
