Latest MR (AC) experience

I just finished my one (and I think only needed for this year) MR. Took advantage of the $52 dollar fare to DFW and my route was YUL-ORD-DFW-DIA-YVR-YUL.

Everything except the YVR-YUL route was on UA metal, YVR-YUL was on AC metal. Other than a little snag at YUL where the aircraft was stored in a minimally heated hanger and both lavs and water lines were frozen. But after a 20 minute delay they decided to go ahead with the flight and hopefully people didn't need to go while in flight (they also provided the option of deplaning, and going to the bathrooms at the terminal which about half the plane took advantage of).

After that, everything went smoothly, even on AC metal (which was delayed by about 45 minutes due to problems with NAV communication which was resolved and fixed). I didnt mind since it was my last segment and wasn't in a rush to catch any other flight.

BUT, and this is the main point of this thread, on the AC flight there were 4 FAs, three were I would say mid-20s, early 30s and one considerably older. During the WHOLE flight she absolutely did NOTHING. She looked unhappy the whole time, just not pleasant seeing her. And even the FAs assigned for J class ventured into cattle class to see how everyone was doing. During take-off and landing she would be the first seated while the others where checking on everyone. And at one point, either a passenger who was asked for help, or an off-duty FA in plain clothes was doing the juice rounds,

I have to say SHAME on her. Ok, maybe she was a last minute drag onto the flight. But still, call me naive, I always believe that one has to do the best job possible happy or not. And it is this kind of behaviour that AC, with an sinking reputation for their customer service, should really be concerned about...or maybe not...its AC after all

But other than that, everything went really smooth. The other FAs (and the bored passenger offering to lend a hand, or off duty-FA) surely made up for the shameful behaviour. Its funny how you see this behaviour and you just shiver in your seat and think: "Oh no, what it to come on this flight" and then when you see friendly FA who smile back at you, you tend to focus on the positives SO overall I would still grade that flight an A for the overall behaviour of the FAs...or maybe just focus on that one bad FA and grade it a C....hmmm, I think the best thing to do is just give it an AC!
