Stranded in the LAX marriot now because United "accidentally" offloade me. Had some pretty good supervisors trying to sort it out for me but I still don't get why the offload a Paid C pax while processing tons of upgrades.. Interestingly they even knew about the EU regulations for IDB and calculated the compensation for it, although the number looks rather low to me (probably just using the based fare and ignoring taxes & surcharges).
Can you elaborate? They would offload you and be aware of the compensation due, even though there was space in C? As in processing Y->C ugs
