My wife and I are flying from HNL-DEN-IAH (+1) tonight. We are on UA #1184 on Monday from DEN-IAH. I am thoroughly befuddled as to why UA doesn't offer a meal service on this two hour and 22 minute flight in first (according to united.com):
UA #1184
Depart DEN 10:27 a.m.
Arrive IAH 1:49 p.m.
No Meal Service
yet it offers lunch on this two hour and 26 minute flight:
UA #848
Depart DEN 1:07 p.m.
Arrive IAH 4:33 p.m.
Lunch
Both flights are operated by 319s, so it's an apples-to-apples comparison. Why does the latter flight, with a flight time that is arguably sandwiched in between lunch and dinner, offer a meal, while the former, which appears to span a traditional lunch time, offers none?
