I have seen a FA monitor & restrict use of overhead bins in the bulkhead rows, which I liked. I've had a bulkhead seat assignment w/a tight connection and had to load my pocketbook and backpack many rows back. An uneasy feeling let alone the lovely experience of trying to swim upstream to collect my belongings.

What happened to common sense? If the flight is full, be considerate of overhead space. If possible, limit your footprint to 1/3 of the bin and don't monopolize the limited bulkhead's OH bins.

I always check a bag since I have a pocketbook and a laptop backpack. A few delays and damages. Whatever. I don't sweat the small stuff and have offered to keep other people's stuff in my personal space.
