Rebook Award Q's & Experience Singapore in 14 hours

Hi,

I'm trying to book a flight from Brisbane to Tokyo with miles (all in Y).

I see availability at the moment on SQ246 (Departing 11:45PM and arriving 5:30am) and SQ632 (departing 8:40pm and arriving 7:00am) via Bangkok.

Availability on the SQ638 (A380) (direct to Tokyo is at 11:45pm arriving 7:00am) is showing "Waiting list"

I think I remember seeing somewhere on the forum that you can now rebook awards online with no loss in fee. Does anyone have a link to this? Also would it recalculate taxes etc at new exchange rates?

I would like to be able to try out the A380

Also there is a reason for the "long" layover. It’s to give me some time to explore Singapore.

I'm entering a wager with a friend to see if I can see everything there is to see in Singapore in 1 day. This is due to them wanted to go to Singapore for a week instead of Hong Kong & Vietnam.

So what would one have to do to say they have experienced the whole of Singapore?

So far on my list :

Singapore Sling at the Raffles Bar
Cricket club
Singapore Flyer
Check out the deals at Simlim/Funtan
Eat lunch at a Hawker centre
Have some Satay in China Town
Visit Little India
Visit the MerLion

Anything else to add ? Does anyone have faith that this could be done in 1 day using public transportation? The bet looks like it will be a bottle of Whisky but it may be worth increasing this.

Also i’ve been checking out all the lounge meeting threads and the BA97 calandar with no luck. Is anyone going through SIN on the 22nd of Feb?

Thanks all for your help.

Regards,

David
