I hate those ridiculous drink chits in the RCC. Can anyone enlighten me on the tipping protocol? I've seen others give $1 to the bartender...

What's especially frustrating is that you even need to go through a bartender to get soft drinks. There are no canned sodas or juices at the RCC's I've been to (except the new one at ORD which has soda fountains). Just ice water jugs with plastic cups.
