D1andonlyDman, I am sure you are right that an apartment would give better quality for the same money. But given me, I think I'd be happier in a more social environment.

I am considering this place, in large part because it seems to have a number of organized activities. It's a fairly new hostel, at 328 Florida, which seems central. A private room with breakfast would be $37/night, through hostelbookers.com.
